During the course of our research, testing, and installation of the PINSCORE systems in many games, we've found that no two, three, four and more games using the same system are alike when it comes to the display mountings for best viewing.  As the designer, I have taken the liberty of providing elongated holes for mounting, allowing for display adjustment where applicable.

Every PINSCORE system has a brightness control, allowing for the user to adjust the intensity of the displays to suit their own personal preference.  Every attempt has been made to make the segmented displays match the original gas plasma tube displays in color, size, shape, and font.  Some liberty has been taken in the shape of the comma though, but only for asthetic reasons.

Every PINSCORE system (except for model PS-2518-xx) has a segment test button.  To use this feature, the system needs to be completely installed, and all cables attached.  Once power is applied, pressing the test button will cause all 'ACTIVE' segments to illuminate.  'ACTIVE' means that if a 16 segment alpha-numeric display is being used in a numeric application, only the numeric segments will be lit.  In the case of a comma, if a comma is not used, as is the case in Credit/Ball displays, commas will not be illuminated during the test.

All PINSCORE systems have been tested to the best of our ability.  A sampling of boards during development were subjected to an environmental oven which maintained a temperature range of 60-70 degrees celsius over a 24 hr period.  I was not able to subject the systems to any vibration testing other than installing them in my own pins, but I am confident that they will be able to function properly inside a pinball machine backbox.
